Pastors Michael & Emily Liebler
Hey!
We are Michael and Emily Liebler. Our friends call us Mike & Em. We are Long Island natives, high school sweethearts, and passionate about inspiring Long Islanders to follow Jesus.
Local Church was a dream that started in our hearts as teenagers, but it took 5 years of working on cruise ships and 5 years working at a church in the mid-west before we finally decided to head back to Long Island to start a new church in the fall of 2021.
Now, Local Church is a thriving community of Long Islanders in every stage of faith: exploring, starting, and growing.
Everyone deserves to have a church where they can feel safe, supported, and encouraged in whatever stage of their faith journey they’re in. So, if you don’t have something like that already, we would love to invite you to visit Local Church!

Every place you go has its own culture, shaped by shared beliefs and behaviors. At Local Church, we do our best to be intentional about creating our culture by clearly defining our values and leading toward them.
If you’ve ever wished you could hear God more clearly, you’re not alone. And the good news is that it’s possible to recognize His voice, remove the noise, and move forward with confidence. You just need to learn how to get tuned in!
Sometimes, we face battles that no one else can see. So, what do we do when we don’t understand what we’re feeling and hope seems far away? In Peace of Mind, we’ll talk about how to fight our mental battles and find peace.
